The first of the two bars I visited was Hellfest Corner – presumably associated with the metal festival of the same name. I was very taken with this place in particular, and this boosted my opinion of Paris greatly for one particular reason: they served food! Not only that, they served it at 10pm where you would struggle to find any kind of pub in the UK outside of Wetherspoons which served at such a time. The music was banging too, and I enjoyed a mix of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch to go with my hot dog and fries plus some beers:

I had time to visit one other place in Paris – Black Dog Noir. The evening I visited it had a hard rock vibe to it. This place also advertises itself as a gastropub. I get this feeling you won’t be short of places to line your stomach before a sesh in Paris!
Black Dog Corner.
This concludes my brief time in Paris, and for a whistle-stop visit it was worth spending what little time I was there. Well worth a visit.
