July 19
Whilst the heat in Paris was just as intense and stifling as it was in the UK, people there seemed far more accustomed to it and it people were just getting on with life as usual. I first went to explore a local park near where I was staying in the 19th arrondissement, before heading to the Museum of Paris and finally taking a walk along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower:
Top Row: The Paroisse Saint-Paul Saint-Louis and Notre Dame, undergoing extensive
repair work after the fire three years previously.
Middle Row: Parisian street art near where I was staying.
Bottom: The Canal Sant-Martin from the Pont Levant de Crimée.
Top left and middle column: an assortment of exhibits from the Museum of Paris.
Top right: The Eiffel Tower in all its glory.
Bottom left: The Institut de France from across the River Seine.
Bottom right: Rue de Sévigné looking at the Paroisse Saint-Paul Saint-Louis.
After I had finally made it to the Eiffel Tower, I went back to the hostel to freshen up and see what the city offers to any passing metalheads, and that will be the subject of the next entry…
